History of the blog
It all started in 2010. I worked in advertising sales and on the side I dabbled in fashion and beauty blogging. I started raising three intelligent ladies as a creative outlet to document my daily inspirations, which ranged from style to pop culture to travel.
In 2011 I quit my advertising job to start blogging full time. It was a scary but exciting moment and I’m so grateful I took the leap! RTSL has since grown into a successful lifestyle blog with an engaging community of readers.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing brands, travel to amazing places, and meet so many talented and inspiring people. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love every day and I am so grateful to all of you who have supported me along the way.
My experience with blogging
I started blogging when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I was looking for a creative outlet and something to do while I was on maternity leave. I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved it. I quickly learned that there is a community of bloggers out there and that there are ways to make money blogging.
I have been blogging for over three years now and I absolutely love it. It’s a great way to connect with other moms, share your experiences, and earn a little extra cash. If you are thinking about starting a blog, or if you already blog but are looking for ways to grow your blog, be sure to check out my blog tips section.

Tips for blogging and running a successful blog
Blogging can be a great way to share your life with others and connect with like-minded people. However, it takes more than just creating a blog to be successful. Here are some tips for running a successful blog:
- Find your place. Readers can tell you’re genuine, and if they see you’re an expert on your subject, they’re more likely to come back.
- Write quality content. It may seem like a no-brainer, but it’s important to remember that your blog is competing with millions of other blogs out there. If you want people to read your book, you have to make sure it’s worth their time. This means writing well-researched and interesting articles that offer something new or different.
- Promote your blog. Just because you build it doesn’t mean they will come. You need to let people know about your blog and there are many ways to do that – from social media to guest blogging on other sites.
- Be patient. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get results right away – keep at it and eventually people will find you.
Audience building and social media
As a lifestyle blogger, one of the most important things you can do is grow your audience.
When it comes to social media, there are several key platforms that are important for bloggers. First, there is Twitter. This The platform is great to promote your blog content and connect with other influencers in your niche. Second, there is Instagram. This platform is perfect for sharing beautiful photos and stories from your life. And last but not least, there is Pinterest. This platform is perfect for sharing recipes, DIY projects, and anything else you can think of!
The key to growing your audience on social media is consistent engagement. This means posting interesting and engaging content regularly, responding to comments and posts, and following other users who share similar interests. With a little effort, you can quickly grow your social media following and reach more people with your blog.
Blogging mistakes I made and what I learned from them
I have made many mistakes while blogging but I have learned from all of them. Here are some of the biggest mistakes I’ve made and what I’ve learned from them:
Does not match my content.
I blogged whenever the mood struck me, which meant my blog was very irregular. I would go weeks without posting and then post a few times a week. This made it difficult for my readers to know when to expect new content from me, and it also made it difficult for me to build a loyal following.
Now, I’ll make sure to post new content on a regular schedule. I try to write an article at least once a week, but sometimes I write more if I have time. This consistency has helped me attract more readers and keep them coming back.
I don’t promote my blog enough.
When I first started blogging, I didn’t really promote my blog much except to tell my friends and family about it. But if you want people to actually read your blog, you need to do more than that! There are many ways to promote your blog – social media, guest posting, forums, and more.
I didn’t communicate enough with my students.
One of the best things about having a blog is the ability to communicate directly with your readers. But in the beginning.
