In Windows 7 and earlier operating systems, point to the “Shutdown, restart, and shutdown” button in the Start menu options. But in Windows 8, you need to perform four (4) steps to shut down, restart, or log off.
You need to open the “correct charms” menu and then select: “Settings“ > “Power“ > “to close“or “Restart“. However, there is an easy way to put these functions into shortcuts on the Windows 8 taskbar (or desktop), and these operations can be performed with a single click.
