How to install Windows 8 on a virtual box – wintips.org

Windows 8 has been on the market since the end of October 2012. The new operating system changes the way Windows works to date, with new features such as a touchscreen interface (like tablets), support for cloud integration, better support for multiple monitors, and more. The first big change in the new operating system for Windows users is the absence of the old Windows interface that we are all familiar with.

The new operating system supports faster loading times, improved search functionality, dynamic desktop support, and more.

If you want to try Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 8, and want to test them without affecting your operating system, for more instructions on how to do this, see this read the manual.

Requirements:

1. System

a. Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with PAE, NX, and SSE2 support
b. RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
c. Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
d. Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

2. Your processor must also support these security features:

a. Virtualization technology.

b. Date Execution Prevention (DEP):

This feature also “Not Executed (NX)“For AMD processors and”Execute Delete (XD)“For Intel processors.

To check if your system processor supports the above security features:

Download and run SecurAble from here.

If your system supports hardware virtualization technology and data execution prevention (DEP), you should see the following window on your screen:

If the above features are not supported, you should see the following window:

In this case, you should check that the Data Execution Prevention and Virtualization Technology (VT) features are supported and already enabled in the BIOS.*
