Step 1. Change the alignment of the taskbar.

In Windows 11, you can adjust the alignment of the taskbar and specify whether you want to show or hide notification icons. For this:

1. Right click on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.


2. In the new window that opens, scroll down and expand Taskbar behavior.

*Note: In the Taskbar Behaviors settings, you can also change the Hide Taskbar option and if you want to show icons when actions occur. (For example, how many unread messages you have).

Step 6. Change the color of the taskbar.

To change the taskbar color in Windows 11:

1. click on Windows + I keys Press or on the keyboard at the same time to open Windows Settings Start after that Settings.

2. Choose Personalization from the left panel and then click Colors in the right pane.

*Note: Unfortunately, you cannot change the color of the taskbar in Light mode in Windows 11.

4b. Choose

4c. replace the Show accent color on Start and Taskbar for On.

Step 7. Change taskbar height and icon size.

If you want to change Windows 11 taskbar height and taskbar icons size in Windows 11.

1. press Windows + R keys at the same time on the keyboard to open a Running dialog box.

2. Type regedit click on the text box and click Enter To open the Windows registry.


3. Go to the location shown below in the Windows registry.

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

4. With Extended key selected right click go anywhere in the right pane and select new -> A DWORD (32-bit) value option.

5. Rename this newly created value Taskbar and beat Enter.

6. Now double click on it Taskbar and set the Value data according to your choice: *

  • For Small taskbar and icons, install the Taskbar to the value of 0
  • For Standard taskbar and icons set the size Taskbar value 1
  • For Large taskbar and icons, install the Taskbar value 2

* For example: To reduce the size of the taskbar and icons in Windows 11, set the “TaskbarSi” REG_DWORD value in the above registry to “0”.
